Water power

Since the settlement of our area, people have used water power, including us millers. Regard and respect for nature have always shaped the millers work, right up to the present. Since starting up our new water power station in 1992, the mill runs completely on renewable energies.

Our turbine transforms kinetic, potential water energy into electric power. The water itself is unaffected. The benefit is exemplary: We reduce emissions of carbon dioxide (2200t/ year), nitric oxide (77 t/ year), sulphur dioxide (70 t/ year). In addition we use solar cells in our sanitary equipment. In times of meagre resources we are proud of using renewable energies.
